NOVITERA Joins the Lithuanian Defence and Space Industry Association (LGKPA)
As strategic raw materials and critical metals become increasingly important to Europe’s defence, space, and high-tech sectors, NOVITERA has joined the Lithuanian Defence and Space Industry Association (LGKPA).
This step reflects the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening Europe’s technological sovereignty and defence resilience through the recovery of critical materials, the advancement of the circular economy, and more resilient supply chains.
In 2024, NATO identified 12 defence-critical raw materials essential for maintaining secure and resilient defence supply chains, while the European Union continues to pursue ambitious targets to increase the recycling and secondary use of strategic metals. Materials such as tungsten, titanium, nickel, cobalt, tantalum, gallium, and rare earth elements are indispensable for advanced electronics, aerospace, communications systems, semiconductors, and other defence technologies.
For more than 24 years, NOVITERA has specialized in strategic metals recovery and laboratory analysis. The company works with aerospace and defence equipment, electronic components, cable systems, industrial equipment, and manufacturing residues containing valuable strategic and critical metals.
Membership in LGKPA provides an opportunity to contribute more actively to the development of Lithuania’s defence and space ecosystem, collaborate with industry partners, and participate in initiatives related to the availability, recovery, and sustainable use of strategic materials.
NOVITERA believes that recovering critical metals is not only a way to create economic value, but also an important contribution to Europe’s technological sovereignty, supply chain resilience, and long-term security.
