Preparation

Sorting:
We can buy and sort various materials and scrap metal.

De-canning:
Hydraulic catalyst cutters help us separate ceramic or metallic monolithic catalysts from their metal housings.

Milling:
Industrial mills process the materials into a form suitable for metal extraction. During the milling process, a sample is taken to determine the composition of the materials. Ceramic parts are ground, mixed and homogenised to form a homogeneous mass. 500g of such a sample accurately represents the composition and value of the materials in a 1000kg batch.

Dismantling of electronics:

Dismantling electronics requires deep knowledge and understanding of equipment and value distribution. Our experienced craftsman are trained and equipped to ensure that dismantling is done to the highest standard.

Refining

Chemical refining and upgrading :
We remove impurities from platinum group metals and refine gold and silver to 99.99% purity. Using chemical compounds, electrolysis, or other metallurgical processing technologies, metals can be purified from a variety of complex materials such as slag, condensers, soil, or mixed metal scrap.

Melting:
According to customer needs, we can refine and melt both large and small quantities of precious metals, as well as homogenize, i.e., unify, the structure and chemical composition of the metal alloy.

Wire granulating:

We granulate automotive and industrial wires. In our processing line, we shred the material and separate copper from plastic. Additionally, we perform magnetic separation to ensure the highest quality material is produced.

Recovery of precious metals:

Customers who have delivered their precious metal-containing materials for refining have the option to sell the metals to us or claim them in physical form.

We have tailored our service for jewelers, craftspeople, and companies working with precious metals to quickly recover their purified metals.

What goes into the cost of
metal waste recycling?

Scrap metal or old electronics would be worthless waste if companies like ours didn’t buy and recycle them. Metal refining requires technical skills as well as human and energy resources, which account for the majority of the total cost of metal recycling.

Preparation for recycling

The materials are sorted and then either ground or melted, depending on the type of mixed metal waste received.
Lot charge

A fixed fee is charged for each lot of material delivered. Regardless of the size of the lot, it is registered and invoiced individually. A sample of material is taken from each lot and an individual chemical analysis is carried out. Consequently, it is more advantageous for clients to supply larger quantities of materials at once.
Refining

Materials undergo chemical treatment to yield high-purity metal products. The refining charges depend on the weight and concentration of the extracted metals.
Minimal deduction

Minimal deduction refers to the small amount of metal unavoidably lost during the refining process.
Charges for deleterious elements

A fee for carbon and other impurities that increase the cost of metal extraction is applied when the percentage of these materials exceeds specified limits.

What kind of metals and materials does NOVITERA recycle?

What substances have an impact on metal recycling?

Explosive and radioactive materials hinder the processing of various metals. We do not work with materials (or their mixtures) that contain deleterious elements such as mercury, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, sulphur, selenium, antimony, bismuth, etc.

Can I order smelting services if I do not sell metal to NOVITERA?

Yes, we do. You can order smelting services even if you do not sell metal to NOVITERA. A list of our services and prices can be found here.

Is it possible to buy precious metals from NOVITERA?

Yes, we return and sell various precious metals. We can also transfer selected precious metals to the customer’s precious metals account.

Who sets the market price for recycled metals?

Both recycled and mined metals are traded on international metal exchanges; therefore, their prices are determined by ever-changing levels of public supply and demand, as well as various economic and political conditions.
